Handling sintered ceramics. The ordered loading into cases of very fragile parts in compressed ceramic powder was required. The continuous throughput of 100 parts a minute has to be managed without stopping to change cases or perform another task. Once loaded, each case has to be stacked on a carriage for transfer to the firing kiln.
The solution
The high operational speed necessary requires the use of a dual loading system, made such that cases are handled at the same time as parts are loaded, enabling continuous throughput. Loading/unloading cases on and off carriages is also implemented simultaneously by a controlled-axis gantry. Installed in Germany.
