The requirement

Automated Loading. The precise, orientated loading of 4 or 6 cylinder engine blocks is required, which have been placed by an operator on a conveyor belt without orientation. It must be possible to adapt the system to different formats, and it must be easy to program by unskilled personnel.

The solution

A guided robotic system made with smart cameras identifies the position and orientates the engine block, guiding the robot’s movements to grasp it. Integrated software enables operators to instruct the system to grasp new parts through a guided process, using an extremely intuitive graphical environment. Installed in Brazil.
